Laboratory Information Management System

The Mary Lyon Centre has developed a bespoke Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), in order to effectively manage the large quantities of husbandry and experimental data being produced.

This system, (AnonyMus), provides support for data capture at the point of generation; along with processing and reporting capabilities across the range of animal research based programmes being conducted within the centre.

AnonyMus continues to be developed by a dedicated team of in house software developers, utilising a form of rapid applications development methodology.

Functionality continues to be expanded in accordance with the needs of the centre.

The application consists of a web enabled front end (Java), running on a relational database management system (Sybase ASE).
