The study of mouse genetics has assisted us immensely in understanding and treating human diseases. Mouse variants that occurred spontaneously, as well as mutants obtained by genetic modification methodologies, play an increasingly important role in the dissection of biological pathways and the pathogenesis of a disease. The aim of the mutagenesis programme is to generate and characterise a large and functionally diverse set of mouse mutant lines that are employed as tools for functional genomics research. The mutagenesis team will assist in the development and management of projects, and welcome all enquiries. Email us.
