Processing Mouse Blood and Urine

This course teaches considerations and best practice when collecting blood and urine samples from mice for routine diagnostic purposes (e.g. haematology, clinical chemistry and immunoassays), methods of sample collection, sample processing and how to avoid artefacts.

After the course, you will be able to develop a basic understanding of:

  • Mouse physiology for the circulatory system
  • The key considerations when collecting blood and urine samples from mice
  • Methods for collection and processing of blood and urine samples
  • Methods for analysis of blood and urine samples
  • Troubleshooting
