Neurological Diseases

Our wide range of tests for assessing neurological function and behaviour have provided insights into many different diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Down syndrome, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Established and innovative behavioural characterisation

Alongside established tests to measure activity, anxiety, circadian rhythm, sleep, and neuromuscular function, we have recently developed an innovative automated system for analysis of the behaviour of mice in their home cage.

Combining established and innovative systems allows us to provide comprehensive characterisation of mouse models of neurological diseases. For more information, please visit the Behavioural and Neurobiology Phenotyping section of the In Vivo Phenotyping page.

If you are looking to generate a new genetic mouse model of a neurodegenerative or psychiatric disease, we can support you with this process, whether your project requires simple deletions or point mutations or generation of more complex alleles.
